Day 01: NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (120 kms / 5 hrs)

Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & transfer to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 02: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass (A full day affair)

After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city.

Nathula Pass is Indo China Boarder. It is around 20 kms from Tsomgo lake. It takes around 40-45 min to reach Nathula from Tsomgo lake. Nathula permit is issued on the same day of the journey in the morning, but applied on the previous day. Permit is controlled by the Indian Army. Issuance of permit depends upon weather and road conditions. A certain no of vehicle is only allowed to enter everyday. Therefore, no one can guarantee the permit.

 Monday and Tuesday is closed for Tourists.

Overnight stay at Gangtok.

(In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing.)

Day 03: Gangtok – Lachen (107 kms / 6 hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel with limited luggage and proceed to Lachen (8,500 ft.), North Sikkim. On the way take a break for some beautiful spots which are worth seeing and visiting like Naga Waterfall, The Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) & Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang and Bhim Nala Waterfall. On arrival at Lachen check into your hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachen.

Day 04: Lachen  – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung

Early Morning drive to Gurudongmar Lake (17,100 ft.). Back to hotel. After lunch & drive to Lachung (8,700 ft.). Arrive by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachung.

Children below 6 yrs is not allowed to go to Gurudongmar lake.

Day 05: Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion – Gangtok

Early Morning drive to Yumthang Valley (12,000 ft. Known as Valley of Flowers). On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Guest can go to Zero point on direct payment basis to the driver.

Back to resort for lunch and transfer to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On the way if the weather is clear you may get to see Mighty Khangchendzonga from Singhik view point. On arrival at Gangtok check-in to your hotel. Rest of the evening free for your own activities. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 06: Gangtok – Darjeeling (80 Kms / 3 hrs)

Morning hours we can use for gangtok local sight seeing. Please note below option. Client can choose any one.

1. Lower gangtok: Flower Show, Ropeway Ride, Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten Stupa
2. (Upper Gangtok) Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok,Bagthang Waterfall.
3. Paragliding. (Total time required 2-3 hrs)
4. Rumtek Monastery Visit (Total time required 2-3 hrs)

Day 07: Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early morning (4:00 AM) visit Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of Permit / Token) back to hotel. After breakfast start at 8.30 AM visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

In Darjeeling, guest can do joy ride in Toy Train. It starts from Darjeeling station and take you to Ghoom station which is around 8 kms from Darjeeling station. The joy ride takes around 1 hr to complete the loop.

Tickets are available in IRCTC website. Please book in advance, or it will be sold out.

Most of the sight seeing points are closed by 4 pm. Therefore, complete visit of sight seeing points depends upon guests time management.

Day 8: Darjeeling – NJP Rly Station / IXB airport (75 kms / 3 hrs) 

After breakfast Check-out from hotel on time and transfer to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for your onward journey.

Important Facts for Traveller’s:

North Sikkim (Lachung- Lachen)

• All the packages start from Gangtok& ends at Gangtok.
• Guest Travelling to North Sikkim (Lachung / Lachen) requires 02 copies of passport size photograph, original photo ID proof with photo copy (identity card – Voter ID card / Pass-port / Driving License) for processing the permit. PAN Card is not acceptable for issuance of the Permit.
• All guests are requested to carry minimum luggage when travelling to North Sikkim and keep the balance luggage at the hotel in Gangtok because of bad road conditions of North Sikkim especially during transshipment due to landslides and road blockages.
• In Lachen and Lachung most of the hotels are offering Vegetarian food
• Packages are available with all meals (as per package) at hotel only (on the way meals if any, Guest has to pay their own).
• Meal on Day 1 of the tour to North Sikkimwould start from dinner at the booked hotel. All meals will be provided in the booked hotel only. If the guest wants to have any meal on the way, they can do so on direct payment basis.
• Hotels are available only with basic amenities & simple food cooked by the locals and not by hotel Chef.
• Child below 10yrs is not allowed to visit Gurudongmar Lake.
• In maximum hotels there is no geyser in the bathroom – hot water is supplied by buckets by the hotelier.
• No room heating systems are provided in the room in maximum hotels due to shortage of power, instead the hotelier provides hot water bags.
• Due to shortage of Power, sometimes guest might have to bear with candle light dinner.
• There are telephone lines but due to cable fault and weak signal, it is often out of order. Airtel, Vodafone & BSNL operates better in this area.
• The best season for travelling to North Sikkim is Mid-February to Mid-June & Mid-September to Mid-December.
• Due to winter season (heavy snow) vehicle will be able to drive till Snow point on the way to Yumthang Valley.
• Excursion to Zero point (Yumesamdong) is kept optional which the guest can avail with an extra cost. Approx. cost is Rs. 3500 per vehicle.
