Package Features

Day 01: NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (120 kms / 5 hrs)

Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & transfer to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 02: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Nathula is on supplmentary basis and on directly payable. Nathula permits are applied one day in advance of the journey and permit issued on the day of the journey. Please inform us about your nathula plan in advance. Last minute arrangments can not be done. If you agreed for the nathula visit and permit is issued, you can not cancel the trip. The amount must be given to the driver. 

Nathula is closed for tourists on Monday and Tuesday of every week.

(In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing.)

Day 03: Gangtok – Lachung (103 kms / 6 hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel with limited luggage and proceed to Lachung (8,700 ft.), North Sikkim. On the way take a break for some beautiful spots which are worth seeing and visiting like Naga Waterfall, The Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) & Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang and Bhim Nala Waterfall. On arrival at Lachung check into your hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 04: Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion- Gangtok

After breakfast proceed to Yumthang Valley which is known as Valley of Flowers (12,000 ft. Known as Valley of Flowers). On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. After lunch time, return back to Gangtok. Night Stay in Gangtok.

Day 05: Gangtok – NJP Rly Station / IXB airport (120 kms / 5 hrs)

After breakfast Check-out from hotel and take the departure transfer to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for your onward journey.

Important Facts for Traveller’s:

North Sikkim (Lachung- Lachen)

• All the packages start from Gangtok& ends at Gangtok.
• Guest Travelling to North Sikkim (Lachung / Lachen) requires 02 copies of passport size photograph, original photo ID proof with photo copy (identity card – Voter ID card / Pass-port / Driving License) for processing the permit. PAN Card is not acceptable for issuance of the Permit.
• All guests are requested to carry minimum luggage when travelling to North Sikkim and keep the balance luggage at the hotel in Gangtok because of bad road conditions of North Sikkim especially during transshipment due to landslides and road blockages.
• In Lachen and Lachung most of the hotels are offering Vegetarian food
• Packages are available with all meals (as per package) at hotel only (on the way meals if any, Guest has to pay their own).
• Meal on Day 1 of the tour to North Sikkimwould start from dinner at the booked hotel. All meals will be provided in the booked hotel only. If the guest wants to have any meal on the way, they can do so on direct payment basis.
• Hotels are available only with basic amenities & simple food cooked by the locals and not by hotel Chef.
• Child below 10yrs is not allowed to visit Gurudongmar Lake.
• In maximum hotels there is no geyser in the bathroom – hot water is supplied by buckets by the hotelier.
• No room heating systems are provided in the room in maximum hotels due to shortage of power, instead the hotelier provides hot water bags.
• Due to shortage of Power, sometimes guest might have to bear with candle light dinner.
• There are telephone lines but due to cable fault and weak signal, it is often out of order. Airtel, Vodafone & BSNL operates better in this area.
• The best season for travelling to North Sikkim is Mid-February to Mid-June & Mid-September to Mid-December.
• Due to winter season (heavy snow) vehicle will be able to drive till Snow point on the way to Yumthang Valley.
• Excursion to Zero point (Yumesamdong) is kept optional which the guest can avail with an extra cost. Approx. cost is Rs. 3500 per vehicle.
